Instructions for Use:
1. Measure the patient from shoulder to chin, with the head in a neutral position. Position the head in a neutral or “eyes forward” position.
2. Select a neck brace of appropriate size for the patient.
3. Adjust the neck brace and chin support according to the size selected in step 2.
4. Secure the sides by pressing the two locking tabs.
5. Pre-form the neck brace.
6. Apply the neck brace, holding the head in a neutral position with your hands. Place the chin support under the chin. If a different size is needed, remove the neck brace, adjust the size, and reapply the neck brace. Pull the neck brace around the neck, ensuring a good fit while holding the front in place. Then tighten.
7. If the patient is supine, slide the back panel behind the neck before applying the chin support.
Warnings:
• Incorrect use may cause injury or permanent disability.
• Use the correct size neck brace. A neck brace that is too large may extend beyond the patient’s cervical spine. A neck brace that is too small may not provide sufficient stability.
• Do not adjust neck braces while on the patient!
