Ultrasound-guided galvanic electrolysis (USGET) is a method most commonly used for chronically damaged tissues. A galvanic current flows through an acupuncture needle, causing an inflammatory reaction in the tissues. This inflammatory reaction triggers a series of biological processes in the body, which in turn ultimately initiate the formation of new, immature collagen fibers. The fibers mature through eccentric stimulation.
