A pulse oximeter is a simple method for determining blood oxygen saturation (SpO2). Oxygen saturation indicates the oxygen saturation of hemoglobin in peripheral blood, which is used to assess the body’s oxygen consumption.
- Allows setting and displaying permissible high and low limits for oxygen saturation, heart rate, and temperature.
- External temperature sensor for continuous measurement and recording of body temperature
- Patented algorithm ensures accurate measurement even with poor blood circulation and tremor
- Suitable for home use
- Small and easy to use
- OLED display is clearly visible both day and night
- Battery operated: 2xAAA
Description
Conditions where a pulse oximeter may be beneficial:
- Respiratory insufficiency or strong suspicion thereof.
- Patients receiving oxygen therapy;
- Certain sleep disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea
What the numbers indicate: Peripheral blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) is considered normal in the range of 96–100%. Values below this level may indicate respiratory issues and require investigation.
