Dermalux® Test Lotion S is a white, semi-viscous oil-in-water emulsion specifically developed for educational purposes. The lotion helps visualize handwashing, drying, and disinfection, highlighting cross-contamination risks and improving techniques for applying skin protection and care creams.
The product contains an agent that fluoresces under UV light in Dermalux® devices, clearly indicating areas where handwashing has been insufficient or where skin care cream has not been applied.
Test Lotion S is intended solely as a training and educational test product.

Description
Application:
To improve the application technique of hand care products, the test agent is applied to the hands like a regular hand cream and rubbed in. Then, the hands are placed in the Dermalux® device and the result is observed:
- areas covered with cream fluoresce brightly
- uncovered or insufficiently covered areas remain dark
After testing, wash hands thoroughly to remove lotion residue. Handwashing effectiveness can be reassessed by placing hands under the UV device again – fluorescing areas indicate insufficiently washed spots. Dermalux® Test Lotion S can also be used as a “test contaminant” to visually demonstrate traces of contamination on hands or objects.
Storage:
- Close the packaging after use.
- Keep in the original packaging, at room temperature, in a dry place.
- Avoid direct sunlight and heat. Do not store near open flames or heat sources.
- Avoid sustained temperatures above 40°C.
